Description

A mix of biennial and perennial wildflowers (all native to the UK) that will provide a long lasting area of beautiful flowers, which will attract a range of wildlife including bees, birds and butterflies.

There are 27 species of flowers within this native UK mix including Foxglove, Field Scabious, Meadow Buttercup and Red and White Campion (full list below).

These plants will flower from spring through to autumn, ranging in colour from white, yellow, pink, purple and blue and will attract wildlife by their scent and colour. After flowering, the seed heads and dried stems provide a striking winter feature as well as food and shelter for wildlife.

When to sow March to June and August/September
Where to Sow Sow direct outdoors (in the preferred flowering position) in a well prepared and weed free bed.
Water the area prior to sowing.
How to Sow Mix the seed with some dry sand prior to sowing ( this will make it easier to spread and to see where it has been sown).
Sow by hand, distributing the seed/sand mixture evenly over the area ( 2 gram per square metre).
If you can, split the seed/sand mixture in half and sow one half in one direction and the other half at right angles (so that you've sown a 'grid' or 'criss-cross' pattern).
What to do Next Gently trample over the area by foot to ensure the seeds are in close contact with the soil to enable them to absorb water from the soil more effectively.
If you cut back after flowering then new growth will come though in the spring, however, leaving the seed heads and dried stems will provide food and shelter for wildlife.
Flowering period May to October
WARNING Includes Foxglove which is poisonous if eaten.
