Description
Rocket 'Victoria' is a classic salad rocket with long dark lobed peppery leaves. It is ones of the easiest salads to grow and is fast growing, reaching maturity in 21-28 days after germination.
Popular in Italy and Southern France, where it has been grown and eaten for centuries, it is great added to stir-fries, tomato and pasta dishes as well as eaten fresh in salads.

Where to sow | Rocket prefers a semi shaded site with moist, nutrient rich soil. |
Sow seeds thinly in growing position either in a seed bed or a pot/container, 0.5cm(1/4in) deep in rows 23cm (9in) apart and 3cm (1 1/4in) between each seed. | |
Early spring and early autumn sowings will benefit from frost protection with a cloche/fleece or by placing pot/container in a greenhouse. | |
Water well, especially during periods of dry weather, and keep weed free. | |
Pick the young leaves and the plant will keep generating new ones for months. | |

Handy Tips | Plants may run to seed in very warm and dry conditions, to avoid this keep well watered and sow successionally. |
Remove any flower stems as soon as they appear to prolong the cropping period. | |
